This department receives many speeding complaints throughout the year. We request that you call the station at (845) 928-2341 to report any speeding issues that are in progress. If you have an ongoing traffic issue in your area, please email Sgt. K9 Christopher Correa at ccorrea@woodburypolice.org There will be a speed radar sign assigned to your area which help prevent speeding by informing motorist(s) of their speed as they travel through the area. This sign collects the aggregate speed data of all vehicles traveling through the area and allows the department to best plan when/if enforcement is needed.
Yes, the Town of Woodbury Police Department will conduct vacant house checks of your residence if you fill out our required form that can be downloaded from our quick links.
Yes, the Town of Woodbury Police Department has an initiative we call Operation Concern. This program offers the elderly and home-bound residents a daily phone call from our Dispatcher(s) to check on their welfare. A Dispatcher from the Woodbury Police Department will call the person each day at a time specified by the requester to check on their welfare. If the person answers the telephone and states that everything is ok, no further action is taken. If there is no answer or if the person answers and states that they need help, we dispatch a police officer to their residence immediately. This program has been very successful for elderly people who have fallen down and could not get up due to injury or illness and were unable to make a telephone call for help. There is no charge for this program and we encourage all residents with elderly loved ones to participate. Please fill out our form that can be downloaded from our quick links and return it to the Woodbury Police Department.
First, you must complete and submit a Freedom of Information Law (FOIL) request form through the Town's website. The form can be completed either in person or by mail and there is a fee. The municipality will then forward the request to the Chief of Police.
